Our culture encourages us to remain in our own
homes throughout life. While many people do so
successfully, there are others who feel bored,
isolated or depressed. Some homebound seniors
don't eat well, and have difficulty managing their
medications. Many who live alone are also at risk
of falling without help nearby.
What really matters to all of us is our quality
of life. Everyone needs stimulating activities
and outings. Our vitality depends on appetizing,
well-balanced meals. We require friends who share
our interests, and most of all, feelings of security
and well-being.
Moving from home into a retirement community
can meet all of these needs, but we recognize
that it's a major life transition. That's why
we make it a joyous one filled with beautiful
surroundings, new friendships, and encouragement
to continue growing.
We at Casa de Flores believe that:
- Everyone is an unfinished product, and every
day brings a new opportunity to learn and grow.
That's why we encourage each resident to relish
spontaneity, be creative, and to feel a sense
of purpose.
- Beyond physical health, well-being relies
on freedom of choice, socialization, and nurturing
of the spirit.
- One of the best ways to nurture the spirit
is through nature: lovely gardens, scores of
songbirds, and vases overflowing with fresh-cut
flowers.
- Like a fine hotel or cruise ship, the best
senior residence is focused on hospitality,
while also providing personal care with dignity.
The quality of life here must be worth leaving
home for.
- The term "assisted living" means
a tailored personal care plan that can be stepped
up or down as the resident’s capabilities
change.
- Helping residents and their families stay
close is an important part of our residents'
well-being.
